How do I make a reservation?
Currently we are taking reservations through employers and sponsers. We work with many local businesses. Let us know who you are working for and we will let you know if they have reserved space for you. If we don't have space available we can help you find alternative housing. Once a reservation has been made, you will need to prepay a $50 deposit with a Visa or Mastercard.

What are the hours of the community center?
The community center which includes our office, kitchen, food storage, dining room, gaming area, business center, reading room and laundry is open from 5am to 12:30am. Only registered guests are allowed in our community center. 

Do you have any other properties available?
Yes, we also have 2 and 3 bedroom apartments at Settler's Green next to the North Conway Grand Hotel and Applebee's. These are also approved for Work and Travel participants. Please message us for additional details about these properties.

How much does it cost to occupy a dormitory unit?
Subject to change seasonally and vary by unit! Please contact us for rates.

How do I pay?
Your weekly payment may be paid with credit or debit card at  our office. If you move any day other than Friday's, we do prorate the current weeks rate with a daily rate. You cannot use your security deposit to pay the weekly rate.

What is security deposit for and do I get it back?
Work and Travel Lodge will hold a security deposit of $200, and may apply it toward any damage caused to the unit, additional cleaning necessary to restore the unit to an acceptable condition or other amounts owed to Work and Travel Lodge pursuant to our agreement. Deposits are refunded back to your debit/credit/checking account 2-3 days after checking out.

Do I need to pay for security deposit and weekly rate prior to my arrival?
You pay for security deposit and weekly/prorated rate when you check in. When you arrive please have your security deposit, prorated/weekly rate, and bedding package fee ready.

What if I cannot pay my on time?
A late fee of $10 will be applied to every day that it is late.

What happens to my deposit if I leave prior to my roommate?
You are responsible for contacting the office to do your check out procedure prior to your departure. This way you will not be held responsible for any damages incurred after your departure date.

What are the quiet hours at Work and Travel Lodge?
Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm to 05:30 am.

Can I request a roommate?
Yes of course! Please let us know in advance of arrival so we can make proper arrangements.

What is included?
Electricity, heat, water, trash, and wireless access (Wi-Fi) are included. The bedding package which consists of one set of linens, a pillow, comforter, bed/pillow protectors are provided at an additional cost. The bedding package is required for all guests. Laundry facilities are located in the community center. Pillow and comforter must remain in the unit when you leave or you will be charged for any items missing, up to $100.

Are cookware and dinnerware provided in the kitchens?
Work and Travel Lodge does provide pots, pans, cooking utensils, plates, silverware, cups, etc. These items can not leave the community center. There is a fine for any item found outside the community center.

Are there T.V.’s in the rooms?
Yes, there are T.V.’s in the rooms and there is a T.V. in the community building.

Is there housekeeping that comes and cleans our rooms?
Our facility is a dormitory housing. All occupants are responsible for cleaning their own rooms and washing their laundry including towels, linens, and shower curtain. All occupants are also responsible for keeping all our facilities clean including kitchens, recreational lounge area, laundry room, and our outside environment. Work and Travel Lodge would like our property to be a friendly, clean community for everyone’s stay to be enjoyable.

If I smoke cigarettes where can I smoke?
New Hampshire State Law states that there is NO smoking in any buildings and that smoking must be done 15 feet/ 5 meters away from buildings. We have butt cans in designated areas that you may smoke near. Please dispose finished cigarettes into the butt cans so our community and environment stays clean. A fine will be assesed if you dispose improperly.

Do I need to make arrangements for when I check in?
Please keep our office staff informed on your arrival date and time. We will send you a confirmation email with how to access your unit, wifi and other important information for when you arrive. Our staff will make arrangements with you directly after you have settled in for the check in process.

What should I do to check out of The Work and Travel Lodge?
Please notify the office at least 3 days in advance of your check out so that we can begin processing and do a final inspection of your unit. Your room and bathroom must be clean and you must return the bedding and pillow you were provided with upon move in to receive your security deposit. YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE ANY OF YOUR DEPOSIT BACK IF YOUR ROOM IS NOT CLEAN AND YOU DO NOT RETURN ALL ITEMS YOU RECEIVED WHEN YOU MOVED IN. If you leave prior to the date you had indicated on your contract you will also not receive your deposit back. You must be current with your payment. Deposit may not be used for weekly payment. Please remember you must be in good standing with The Work and Travel Lodge at the end of the season if you want to live here the following season. Violation of these terms will result in notification of your sponsor and you may be ineligible for future Work and Travel J1 Visa.

Does Work and Travel Lodge have bicycles to borrow or sell?
We do not have any bicycles. Bicycles may be purchased at Walmart Superstore and other outlets. If you purchase a bike, please make sure to purchase a bicycle lock, light and helmet as well.
